Dell’s Streak Tablet to be available on AT&T and T-Mobile

We’ve talked a bit about the Dell Mini 5 since it was revealed at CES in January. Well, it’s now official, the Dell tablet has been approved by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The Android device, which will be called the Streak, had been confirmed for AT&T but the FCC application indicates that several US networks have been approved to use the gear. It seems the tablet could also be used on T-Mobile as the report shows support for the WCDMA Band IV frequency (1700MHz band) used by T-Mobiles 3G network.

It would seem as though Dell will take the opposite strategic route that Apple has taken: that is make the device available to multiple suppliers.

The Dell Streak is expected to ship this summer.
