The Joojoo tablet (previously named the Crunchpad) was released in Europe only a few days ago. This comes almost a month before the iPad is due to hit european stores. The story, carried by a number of mainstream news outlets, was credited by some as the break that the Joojoo needs in order to get ‘one-up’ on the iPad.
Following a number of delays the Joojoo tablet was released rather late in the US, managing only a few days of sales before the iPad released, often touted as the main reason for its poor sales performance so far.
With both the HP Slate and Microsoft Courier out of the way, the iPad not due for another month and the european market lacking any real competition, maybe the Joojoo will manage to catch on.
With future models featuring 3G connectivity and the release version nearly £200 ($300) cheaper than the iPad’s rumored european price of £499 ($753), this could well be the break the Joojoo has needed.
