The months of speculation surrounded the much rumored Apple tablet device (now being dubbed iPad) seem to be almost over as details on the product launch begin to surface.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is planning to reveal the iPad on January 27 at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco. The Financial Times however had reported a few weeks ago that Apple had rented the stage at Yerba Buena for January 26.
Also, some have been reporting that Apple has already provided SDKs to the developement community so that demo apps may be ready in time for the launch. In addition, Apple Insider reports that developers have been instructed to design full screen demos of their existing iPhone apps.
While the devices shipping date still isn’t officially known, sources say the iPad will come with a 10 or 11 inch screen and should hit Apple Store shelves in March.
