As part of their HR function Microsoft runs a ‘Jobs Blog‘, a careers blog of sorts which posted , seemingly by mistake, a reference to the Courier.
As part of their post on March 23 Microsoft pointed to a series of their latest innovations and projects, amongst which was a reference to the as yet unconfirmed Courier. However, after only a few hours the post was edited, removing the references to the rumored tablet.
It would seem that Microsoft are fairly keen to keep us guessing as to when the tablet will be released, possibly in an attempt to mimic the level of pre-release ‘hype’ around the iPad, or for those less skeptical amongst us, to create a genuine interest in their new product.
If you head over to the Jobs Blog today the only evidence of the reference ever being in the post is the 14 comments at the bottom, all of which ironically refer to the no longer present reference. So whether it was a slip up by one of Microsoft’s HR team or a clever marketing trick to keep the rumors running, we now have almost concrete confirmation of the couriers existence.
