Panasonic announces second Touchbook tablet

Only a last month we announced Panasonic’s new H1 Field, an incredibly durable and strong tablet PC from the world renowned electronics manufacturer.

Panasonic have now announced the planned release of a far less expensive device, by around $1000, called the Touchbook C1, the next in its family of tablet PCs. Featuring a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 520 processor and 8 GB of RAM this tablet packs plenty of power to match its even tougher older brother.

This is, again, not a device aimed at the consumer market, with the expected price tag at a hefty $2,500, it is firmly in the professional market, a position enhanced by its impressive hot-swapable twin batteries, allowing non-stop use for as long as you have batteries spare.

This isn’t the only tablet from Panasonic though, with an array of over 14 tablets for business customers they have succeeded in creating a device for all kinds of professional applications and with the ability to run Windows 7, it makes them more of a Tablet ‘PC’ and less of an oversized phone. Not bad for a company most of use only associate with VHS players.
